One day, when Atatürk, with his blue eyes, summoned her and said, ‘there is no longer a ban; sing us your songs with your own name and your beautiful voice,’ Eftelya became whole… That very day they set out again in their boats, and as Eftelya sang her songs under her own name for the first time, the sea trembled once more.”
