Shalott

The Lady of Shalott is a weaver who weaves what she sees and does so very realistically. She is born with a curse: she must never see anything directly with her eyes. She lives imprisoned in a tower; for the beautiful patterns she weaves, she draws inspiration only from the images reflected in the mirror in front of the window. If she looks directly out of the window, she will die. One day she hears the song of Lancelot passing before the tower, sees his reflection in the mirror, and falls in love.
